Hi, I'm Uma...
After placing as a finalist at the Miss India contest in 1998, I enjoyed a whirlwind career in fashion and TV before heading to London in 2004 and moving into finance. My real passion though was baking and decorating that I enjoyed as a hobby. I turned my hand to wedding cakes and served an ever growing client base across Sussex.
In 2019, the opportunity arose to take over Fair Cake, one of London’s premier (and now only) cake baking and decorating schools. Fair Cake has continued to run in person classes when pandemic restrictions have allowed as well as launching an online shop. I work to the principle that all students should go home armed with the knowledge they would need to get started on their baking journey – personal and professional.
I hope you enjoy the course modules and I cannot wait to see the pictures of your creations. I hope to see you at one of our face to face classes. Fair Cake is well on the way to becoming the only place you will think of when you want to learn how to bake!
